Sony PlayStation State of Play Reportedly Set for Next Week

Author : Aaron Update : Feb 23,2025

Sony's anticipated February PlayStation State of Play is rumored to air next week, according to leaker NateTheHate, who correctly predicted the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal date. Speculation is rife about what Sony might unveil during this Valentine's Day week broadcast (February 10-14).

Several first-party titles slated for 2025 release could make an appearance. Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei is a strong contender for a gameplay reveal and release date announcement. Bungie's Marathon, a PvP extraction shooter, might also feature if playtesting plans remain on track for this year. Haven Studios' debut title, Fairgames, is another possibility. While less likely, new trailers for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and potentially even a glimpse of Naughty Dog's new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, or Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine are also plausible.

However, recently canceled live-service projects from Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games (reportedly a God of War live-service title) won't be featured. The fate of Guerrilla Games' live-service Horizon project remains uncertain, though a reveal is possible.

Microsoft's presence on PlayStation shouldn't be overlooked. A release date for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny could be announced, and a surprise Halo announcement for PlayStation is not entirely out of the question.

Looking back at last year's State of Play, which showcased titles like Death Stranding 2, Physint, Rise of the Ronin, Until Dawn remaster, Stellar Blade, Dragon's Dogma 2, Sonic Frontiers, various Silent Hill projects, Judas, Foamstars, and Helldivers 2, offers a glimpse into potential announcements this year.
