New Social Rural Life Sim Launches with Ghibli-Style Art

"Morikomori Life" has officially launched on Android and iOS, but exclusively in Japan. Realfun Studio is behind this release, while Level Infinite under Tencent Games initially released it in China, though that version was discontinued about a year ago.

The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back

One of the standout features of "Morikomori Life" is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of cozy living through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. These visuals are reminiscent of scenes directly lifted from a Studio Ghibli animated film, providing an authentic and enchanting experience.

In the game, you take on the role of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, prompting her to return to her childhood village, Komori. As you explore this serene setting, you'll rediscover the joys of a peaceful rural life. The 3D toon shading of Komori enhances the warmth and realism of the Japanese countryside, creating a truly immersive environment.

If you're skeptical about the visual appeal, take a moment to watch the "Morikomori Life" trailers below and experience the beauty for yourself!

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living

"Morikomori Life" focuses on the joys of a slow-paced, slice-of-life experience. Engage in farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. Activities like chopping wood, mining for ore, and foraging for rare materials will keep you busy as you explore the world.

As you gather resources, you'll unlock new opportunities to upgrade your home and enhance your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to reflect your personality, meet new friends in the village, and prepare meals from your foraged ingredients. Additionally, you can assist villagers with various tasks, adding depth to your rural life.

The game offers an open-world experience, allowing you the freedom to explore and discover delightful surprises throughout the landscape.

Currently available on Android in Japan, you can find "Morikomori Life" on the Google Play Store if you're in the region. There has been no announcement yet regarding a global release.
