Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Snake-Themed Mass Outbreak Event
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players are slithering into a new event! A Mass Outbreak featuring Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper is underway, celebrating the Year of the Snake. This limited-time event boosts Shiny encounter rates for these serpentine Pokémon.
This Mass Outbreak follows the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid event, a fitting end to the Year of the Dragon. While Rayquaza is obtainable via the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, the Shiny variant's rarity made the Tera Raid a highly sought-after opportunity.
The Snakelike Mass Outbreak, running from January 9th to 12th (7:00 PM ET to 6:59 PM ET), offers increased chances of encountering Shiny Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper. Silicobra outbreaks occur across Paldea, Ekans in Kitakami, and Seviper in the Terarium. Pokémon levels range from 10 to 65, depending on game progression. To access the event, players must connect to the internet, navigate to the Poke Portal in the in-game menu, and select "Get Poke Portal News."
