Sims 1, 2 Return to PC with 25th Birthday Bundle
Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Remastered Classics!
EA and Maxis are throwing a fantastic 25th-anniversary party for The Sims franchise by bringing back The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 to PC! These beloved titles are now available via two Legacy Collections and a special bundle.
The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available individually or together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle. Both collections include nearly all expansions and stuff packs; The Sims 2 collection is missing only the IKEA Home Stuff pack. As a bonus, The Sims 1 gets a Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 receives a Grunge Revival Kit.
This marks a momentous return for these classic games. The Sims 1 was originally only available on disc, making it inaccessible to many. While The Sims 2 had a brief resurgence with an Ultimate Collection in 2014, that version was later removed from EA's Origin store. Now, both collections are readily available digitally. With these re-releases, all four main The Sims games are easily accessible on digital platforms.
Our original reviews praised The Sims 1 (9.5/10) and The Sims 2 (8.5/10) for their charm, simplicity, and challenging gameplay. Despite the series' evolution, the originals remain worthwhile experiences, offering a unique blend of nostalgia and engaging gameplay.
The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
