What Is Civilization VII?

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is the newest chapter in a strategy game saga that began in 1991. Developed by Firaxis, it lets you step into the shoes of a historical leader, guiding your civilization to global supremacy. You'll build and expand your city, create architectural wonders, and choose your path to power, either through conquest or collaboration with neighboring civilizations.

Civ VII introduces a fresh twist: you won't play as a single civilization throughout the game. Instead, for each playthrough, you'll select a new civilization for each of the three Ages: Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern. The only constant will be the leader you've chosen to guide your journey.
