SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic First Crossover!
Sonic Rumble, despite not having launched globally yet, is already making waves with its exciting Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event, live now until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th, brings together some of the most beloved characters from SEGA's extensive catalog. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries, having gone through two pre-launch phases in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, Colombia, Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa.
What’s in Store?
If you're in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you're in for a treat with the SEGA Stars crossover. Fans of Altered Beast will be thrilled to see the Werewolf transformation available for free. For those nostalgic for the beast modes, the Werebear and Weredragon transformations are also up for grabs. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.
Fantasy Zone enthusiasts will enjoy the inclusion of Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa. Opa-Opa is also part of the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, each costing 700 standard rings. Additionally, AiAi and MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball have joined the fray. To get AiAi, you'll need 729 Red Star Rings. Check out the crossover event in action below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During the event, players can collect SEGA logos in matches to earn extra goodies. Although it might seem unusual for the event to go live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later. This first crossover event showcases SEGA's rich history and current lineup, featuring everything from monkeys to sentient arcade ships and powerful were-creatures alongside Sonic and his friends, making Sonic Rumble a highly anticipated game.
You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now or wait for its global launch on May 8th in your region. Also, don't miss out on our coverage of Vampire Survivors’ SaGa-Based DLC Emerald Diorama and the Cross-Save Update for more gaming news.
