Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for an exciting Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, set to launch on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has shared all the exciting details to get players ready for what’s coming. This season promises new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and fresh monsters to hunt.

Before Season 5 kicks off, players can look forward to a special treat with the early arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This monster is making its debut ahead of its first-ever appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once the season officially starts, Glavenus and Arzuros will also join the fray, adding to the excitement.

Weapon balance is a key focus for Season 5, with tweaks aimed at making every weapon type more viable and enjoyable. The Sword & Shield is receiving a buff that will make targeting breakable parts like tails much easier. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with enhanced performance, leading to more satisfying combos.

The Guard skill is also getting an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will significantly reduce damage taken when blocking. More details on these tweaks and other changes will be available in the full patch notes released on March 6th.

And There Is More!

For those struggling with overflowing inventories, Season 5 brings a much-needed solution. An Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, granting an additional 250 slots for your gear and items.

As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration, a new feature will roll out on March 17th. This feature allows players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for fantastic rewards. Expect to find items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
