Fans of the time-twisting RPG Reverse: 1999 have a lot to look forward to with an upcoming livestream scheduled for April 18th. This exciting event promises a first look at the content for version 2.5, aptly titled 'Showdown in Chinatown', as well as additional details on the upcoming 1.5th anniversary celebrations.

The livestream will be hosted by in-character personalities Captain Regulus and the newly introduced Officer Liang Yue, both appearing in chibi form. Viewers can anticipate engaging giveaways, including codes, and a thrilling competition to win a Nintendo Switch 2.

While version 2.5 has been extensively showcased to Chinese players, the international audience will get to see how this update pays homage to Hong Kong martial arts movies, weaving a dramatic crime thriller narrative centered around capturing an arcanist vigilante.

ytCharacter Highlights Officer Liang Yue, with her array of martial arts moves, will be infiltrating the movie set run by Noire, a wheelchair-bound director known for her perfectionism. Noire's unique ability allows her to puppet her ideal actors to combat enemies. Additionally, a character named Loggerhead, who quite literally has a camera for a head, will also make an appearance.

Although specifics for the international release of Reverse: 1999 will be revealed during the livestream, fans can expect plenty of nods to the iconic works of the Shaw Brothers and John Woo in version 2.5.
