PUBG Mobile officially kicks off the Global Open with almost 100,000 participants
The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off with a massive Open Qualifiers, featuring over 90,000 participants vying for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. This inaugural international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year began February 13th, providing a platform for aspiring players to showcase their skills.
The Open Qualifiers present a unique opportunity for amateur teams to compete against established esports organizations. Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. Upcoming weeks will see intense battles for a coveted spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against top contenders from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately emerge victorious from the Prelims, earning a place in the PMGO Main Event alongside four teams who secured their spots through exceptional performance in the PMGC 2024: Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers conclude March 2nd, followed by the Prelims (April 10th-11th) and the Main Event (April 12th-13th). This tournament marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC on the horizon later in 2025.
