"Project 007: James Bond's Origin Story Game Hits Nintendo Switch 2"
Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts, it's time to get excited! IO Interactive has officially announced that their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game promises an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.
"Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," the developer shared, setting the stage for what fans can anticipate in terms of the game's storyline.
In an insightful interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's head, Hakan Abrak, delved into the process of crafting a fresh origin story for the iconic spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," Abrak explained. He further elaborated on the vision for the project, saying, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
While fans eagerly await more details, the release date for Project 007 remains undisclosed. For those keen on staying updated, you can find all the latest announcements from the Nintendo Direct here.
