"Predator Movies: How to Watch in Chronological Order"
Humans often pride themselves on being at the top of the food chain, but in the galactic gladiator competition, we barely make the cut. Enter the Predator franchise, which kicked off with the iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger film in 1987. This series revolves around the "Yautja," towering extraterrestrial trophy hunters who scour the universe for lethal sport and have been known to abduct species for hunts on their home planet.
The first two Predator films, released in 1987 and 1990, established the saga's foundation. Given the cinematic threat posed by the Xenomorphs from the Alien series, it was a natural progression in the 2000s to merge these universes with two Alien vs. Predator films. In the following years, directors like Robert Rodriguez, Shane Black, and Dan Trachtenberg each brought their unique vision to the franchise.
With two new Predator movies set to hit screens in 2025, now is the perfect time to revisit the original sci-fi classics. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer, we've got the full timeline of the Predator movies and where to watch them online.

4. AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)
After a 14-year hiatus, the franchise returned with a crossover, merging with the Alien series. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson of Resident Evil and Event Horizon fame, Alien vs. Predator was a blockbuster hit that breathed new life into both franchises. 5. Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007)
The sequel to AVP, Aliens vs Predator: Requiem, continues the battle immediately after the first crossover. A Predator "cleaner" is dispatched to eliminate this new threat.

6. Predators (2010)
Predators, directed by Robert Rodriguez, breaks the mold by setting the action on a distant planet used as a Yautja game reserve. With a cast including Adrien Brody, Walton Goggins, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, and Alice Braga, the film explores how humans, specifically seasoned killers, are abducted for sport between rival Yautja tribes. Though the exact Earth year is unspecified, it's commonly assumed to be around 2010, fitting into the early 21st century.

7. The Predator (2018)
Eight years after Predators, Shane Black, who starred in the original, returned to direct The Predator. The film reverts to the franchise's roots, featuring a squad of unstable soldiers, including Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, and Alfie Allen, as they battle two Predators and uncover a plot involving DNA splicing. The movie concludes with a tease for future installments, while alternate endings hinted at a crossover with the Alien franchise.
