Pokémon TCG Pocket launches its hotly-anticipated trading feature and Space-Time Smackdown

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived! Launching alongside the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this update brings a wealth of new content for players to enjoy.

Trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket works much like real-life trading, allowing you to exchange cards with friends. While some restrictions apply—only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and resources like trade hourglasses and tokens are required—it's a significant addition to the game.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduces legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, alongside Sinnoh region starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, and much more!

The reception to the new trading feature, however, has been somewhat mixed. While the feature itself is well-implemented, the numerous caveats and resource requirements have been met with criticism. Many feel the game would have benefited from a more unrestricted trading system or no trading feature at all. Developers have indicated they are monitoring player feedback and may implement changes in the future.
