Niantic is kicking off the new year with festivities, including the New Year's 2025 event, followed by Fidough Fetch and the Sprigatito Community Day. January also brings the Eggs-pedition Access, a month-long paid event ($4.99) offering numerous bonuses to enhance your Pokémon journey. The in-game gifting system is also getting a boost, increasing your Gift storage and daily limits.

New Year's 2025 Event Details:

The Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there aren't any new Pokémon, Shiny variants, or costumes, there's still plenty of festive fun.

Expect increased wild spawns of special Pokémon like a ribboned Jigglypuff, a New Year's Hoothoot, and a party-hatted Wurmple – all with boosted Shiny rates. Event bonuses include a hefty 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and celebratory fireworks.

Raids will feature a snowflake-wearing Pikachu (Tier One) and party-hatted Raticate and Wobbuffet (Tier Three), also with increased Shiny odds. Field Research and PokéStop Showcases will offer further themed encounters.
