Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Festive Pokémon and Exciting Rewards!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025. Get ready for themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and a stylish start to the new year!

This event follows the special Community Day (December 21st-22nd) featuring returning Community Day Pokémon.

A key highlight? Snag 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Enjoy festive fireworks and immersive New Year's decorations as you explore.

Expect increased appearances of festive Pokémon: Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat), including their Shiny forms!

Raids also get a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are boosted for all three.
