Since the game's October 30, 2024 launch, he's purchased the daily maximum of 720 Poké Gold, amounting to an estimated $100 per day. Over the game's 85-day lifespan, this equates to approximately $8,500—and that's before accounting for any potential sales or discounts during the launch period and holiday season!

This dedication has allowed Hajimesyacho to amass a vast collection, encompassing cards from the Genetic Apex (A1) and Mythical Island booster packs, as well as limited-time promotional cards. His collection even includes the recently released "Pokedex" Trainer card, a reward given to players celebrating the global collection of 40 billion cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

McDonald's and Pokémon: A Happy Meal Collaboration

The Pokémon Company recently announced a thrilling collaboration with McDonald's! Pokémon-themed Happy Meals are now available, featuring collectible physical cards and in-game items for Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Each Happy Meal offers a chance to obtain one of 15 randomly selected physical cards, including popular Pokémon like Miraidon, Roaring Moon, Rayquaza, and more. Seven of these cards boast a coveted "holo" or "foil" finish. Additionally, Pokémon TCG Pocket players can redeem 24 Pack Hourglasses and 12 Hourglasses to enhance their in-game experience.

Four unique Happy Meal box designs showcase iconic dragon-type Pokémon: Charizard, Rayquaza, Roaring Moon, and Dragonite, alongside Pikachu. These limited-time offers are available at participating McDonald's locations while supplies last, with in-game rewards expiring on March 31, 2025.

Pokémon TCG Pocket's Upcoming Trading Feature

On January 17, 2025, the Pokémon TCG Pocket team announced details about their highly anticipated trading feature on Twitter (X). Trading will initially be limited to friends with cards of the same rarity (1-4 diamonds and 1-star). Rarer cards, such as Special Illustration Rare, Immersive, and Crown Rares, will not be tradeable. A consumable item will be required for each trade, similar to Stardust in Pokémon GO.

While cards from the Genetic Apex (A1) and Mythical Island booster packs will be initially available for trading, the developers have assured players that they plan to expand the selection in future updates. They also teased a new booster pack coming this January, though the exact release date remains undisclosed.
