Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held across three international cities:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, enhanced gameplay, and special bonuses. In-person attendees will enjoy unique city-specific features and activities. Ticket purchase is required for both in-person and online participation.

Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates, exclusive merchandise for in-person participants, themed event sets, community hubs, and team lounges. The experience will largely mirror the successful format of previous years.

January Events: Fashion Week & Shadow Raid Day

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over:

• Dates: January 15th, 2025, 12:00 pm - January 19th, 2025, 8:00 pm (local time)
• Highlights: Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai (hatching from 12km Eggs). Other Shadow Pokémon appearances (Snivy, Tepig, etc.). Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk via snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day (Shadow Ho-Oh):

• Dates: January 19th, 2025, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm (local time)
• Highlights: Participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, 50% more XP from Raids, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
