Pokémon Go Ends Might & Mastery Season
Strength in Numbers runs from May 20th to 22nd
- Send as many gifts as possible during this period
- Special Research tickets for Community Day Classic can also be gifted to friends
Pokémon Go's Might and Mastery season is approaching its climax, with Niantic emphasizing collaborative gameplay. Between Tuesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge encourages trainers to exchange gifts with their friends - the more the better.
Throughout this limited-time event, you can open up to 50 gifts daily. This means increased opportunities for Stardust, valuable items, and friendship progression - but more crucially, it helps the worldwide playerbase unlock an exclusive reward: transferable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic featuring Machop.
If players collectively complete the challenge, starting May 23rd you'll gain the ability to send these Machop Special Research tickets to any Great Friend level contacts. The best part? You don't need to purchase a ticket for yourself first - simply visit the in-game shop to share these tickets. Each trainer can distribute up to 20 tickets daily during the distribution period.

This event directly precedes the Machop Community Day Classic on May 24th (2:00-5:00 PM local time). During these hours, encounters with the Superpower Pokémon will dramatically increase, and Shiny Machop will return for trainers who missed previous opportunities or want to expand their collection of green Machamp variants.
Evolving Machoke by May 31st grants a Machamp with Payback - a strategic Dark-type Charged Attack that expands this Fighting-type's versatility in battles. The event also features Stardust bonuses, extended duration for Incense/Lures (3 hours), and exclusive Timed Research offering enhanced Shiny encounter rates with Machop.
Prepare for the event by downloading Pokémon Go for free. Visit the official Pokémon Go Web Store to browse available bundles and items before the special event begins.
