Pokémon Go Celebrates the Holidays

Pokémon Go's Holiday Part One event kicks off a festive season of fun from December 17th to 22nd! This exciting event features a host of bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and engaging challenges.

Double XP for catching Pokémon and halved Egg hatching distances are just the beginning. A new costumed Dedenne, sporting holiday attire, makes its debut, with a shiny variant available for lucky trainers. Shiny Sandygast also makes its first appearance.

Prepare for festive encounters in the wild, including Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer a diverse selection of costumed Pokémon, from a Winter Carnival Pikachu and a holiday Psyduck in one-star raids, to Glaceon in an Undersea Holiday outfit and Cryogonal in three-star raids. Mega Latias and Mega Latios will also appear in Mega Raids.

Seven-kilometer Eggs hold the potential for Hisuian Growlithe or a holiday-ribboned Cubchoo. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks, or opt for a paid Timed Research ($2.00) for additional encounters with themed Pokémon, Premium Battle Passes, and more rewards.
