Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is coming to mobile later this year

Among the most eagerly awaited game releases from last year, one standout is undoubtedly the upcoming Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage. The original Pirates Outlaws captivated fans with its stylish, swashbuckling roguelike deck-building gameplay at a time when the genre was still emerging. Now, its sequel is set to launch in Q3 of this year, promising even more thrilling adventures on the high seas.

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage returns players to the vibrant world of New Elysia, inviting them on another exhilarating journey across the ocean waves. To begin your voyage, simply choose a character, select a class ability, and craft your starting deck.

In this sequel, you have the freedom to select from multiple characters, each with seven class options, allowing you to tailor your deck to your preferred playstyle. You can even recruit an animal companion to enhance the strategic depth of your battles. With enhanced turn-based combat and a new card evolution tree, you'll have a vast array of weapons at your disposal to conquer the seas!

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is poised to be a significantly expanded sequel, offering players the freedom to explore back and forth across the map. It provides even more permutations and possible combinations of cards and characters. For PC players, an upcoming Steam demo will be the first opportunity to experience Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage firsthand.

While the game looks promising, I have a slight concern about the animations shown in the reveal trailer, which seemed somewhat static. Fully animating these illustrations can be challenging, but I'm hopeful that the final release will feature more dynamic effects when it arrives on mobile later this year.
