How To Get Photograph Emote (Patch 7.18) in Final Fantasy XIV

One of the most delightful aspects of *Final Fantasy XIV*'s social scene is the incredible variety of emotes players can use to interact. This guide shows you how to obtain the charming Photograph emote.

Thanks to a collaboration with Fujifilm Instax, *Final Fantasy XIV*'s Patch 7.18 introduced this free emote. The "Photograph" emote lets you simulate taking pictures anywhere in Eorzea.

Unlike many emotes requiring quests or purchases, the "Photograph" emote is automatically available in your Emote menu after downloading Patch 7.18. No level or expansion is required!

How To Use the Photograph Emote in FFXIV

To use it, open your Emote menu (under the "Social" tab), find "Photograph" (usually under "General"), and press it. Your character will snap a Polaroid-style picture. Add it to your Favorites for easy access.

While not continuous or ideal for AFK activities, the emote is versatile. Use it underwater (like in the Ruby Sea) or even while mounted (both grounded and flying mounts). It's perfect for creative poses!

Patch 7.18 precedes the larger Patch 7.2 (late March), which includes new dungeons, a return to the Arcadion, Cosmic Exploration, and more.
