Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them

Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, but some remain unlisted in your quest log. This is true for the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. While labeled "Quest Items," they function differently. Unlike typical quest items, collecting them doesn't add a quest to your log, nor do you need to give them to an NPC. Instead, these are valuable sellable items.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three idols, with the remaining two located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals in side rooms.

• Utzaal:

  • Glorious Idol
  • Golden Idol
  • Grand Idol

• Aggorat:

  • Exceptional Idol
  • Elegant Idol

Cashing In Your Discoveries

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and speak to Oswald, located in the north. He'll buy your idols for a substantial amount of gold:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields a total of 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as high-value trade goods, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
