When Does Every Party Member Join In Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Metaphor: ReFantazio's expanding party: A guide to when each companion joins your adventure.

Beyond the main character, seven companions will join your quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing their unique combat skills. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat role is initially limited.

Note: This guide contains minor spoilers regarding party member recruitment.

Each party member joins on specific days, tied to story events. Some appearances are unexpected, so reading ahead might reveal plot points.

Party Member Recruitment Timeline:

Each companion awakens to their Archetype, a power usable by other party members. Early companions may initially be AI-controlled; later members awaken just before their first combat appearance.

• Storhl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th during the Border Fort events, awakening to his Archetype the following day, June 6th, in the Nord Mines. Until then, he's AI-controlled.

• Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, but becomes a fully playable member on June 6th, after Storhl's awakening. Grius doesn't undergo a traditional Archetype awakening.

• Hulkenberg (Knight): Interacts with the party from June 10th, fully joining and awakening to her Archetype during the boss fight on June 11th.

• Heismay (Thief): Appears in Martira. His awakening and party integration occur on July 4th within the town's main dungeon.

• Junah (Masked Dancer): A recurring character, Junah awakens and joins the party on August 13th.

• Eupha (Summoner): Her recruitment is more flexible. Complete the Dragon Temple Dungeon during free time on Viraga Island (August 19th - September 4th) to recruit her for the final boss. Her Bond story, however, begins after this period.

• Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins during the Saint's Day events on September 11th, becoming fully usable in combat the next day (optional).
