Klonoa and Mr. Driller 2 Join the Nintendo Switch Online GBA Collection

On September 25, 2025, Nintendo Switch Online will welcome two Game Boy Advance gems to its Classics lineup: Klonoa: Empire of Dreams and Mr. Driller 2. These titles last saw official release as Wii U Virtual Console games in 2014, making this their first re-release in over a decade.

Originally launched by Bandai Namco in 2001, Klonoa: Empire of Dreams was the third entry in a series that began with Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on PlayStation. It's an action-packed side-scrolling platformer where players overcome enemies and solve puzzles.

Mr. Driller 2, a direct sequel to the original, is a puzzle game that first hit arcades before its Game Boy Advance debut.

In Mr. Driller 2, assume the roles of elite drillers Susumu and Anna as they combat a mysterious block outbreak threatening the world. Drill through multicolored block layers while avoiding collapses and managing your air supply. Air capsules help you replenish oxygen and reach your destination safely.

The game offers three modes: Mission Driller, where you follow a story as Susumu or Anna; Endless Driller, challenging you to survive as long as possible; and Time Attack Driller, which tasks you with reaching a target depth against the clock with unlimited air.
