In the world of video games, dogs often prove to be invaluable allies, and *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is no exception. Henry's loyal companion, Mutt, goes missing early in the game, but don't worry—here's how you can reunite with him.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location

The search for Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is tied to a side quest, but I can cut straight to the chase. Mutt is located near a wolf cave, situated southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river's bathing spot. You can see his exact location in the screenshot provided below.

The most straightforward way to reach Mutt is by fast traveling to the Nomads’ Camp, then heading southwest into the forest. Following this path will likely lead you directly to the top of the cave. As you get closer, you'll begin to hear Mutt's whines. Keep moving towards the sound, and you'll eventually find Mutt alongside a few wolves in a clearing near the cave entrance.

Approaching Mutt will trigger a cutscene where you'll encounter him with a pack of wolves. This scene also introduces you to how to command Mutt in battle. At this point, you have the choice to either fight the wolves or flee. Given that wolves and wild animals are manageable opponents in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, engaging in combat can be a great way to sharpen your skills.

Once you've dealt with the wolves—whether by fighting or fleeing—Mutt will be at your command. By holding L1 and looking at him, you can interact with him, feed him from your inventory, or send him back to your home.

Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest

It's worth noting that you might encounter the wolf cave while participating in the Invaders side quest, particularly if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry follows Vasko up the hill to fetch more liquor, and the quest leads you directly to the cave. This triggers the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, but you'll have to manage the encounter while intoxicated.

I strongly recommend locating and rescuing Mutt during the daytime, before progressing further with the Invaders quest. Attempting to handle the wolves at night and while drunk significantly increases the difficulty. Even if you decide to flee, the poor visibility can lead to fatal accidents.

And that's how you can find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
