Independent studio We Are Muesli unveiled their upcoming narrative experience "In Their Shoes," slated for 2026 release on mobile and PC platforms. The project has already garnered recognition with a nomination at Berlin's prestigious A MAZE. 2025 independent games awards.

Walking Through Milan's Contradictions

Set in contemporary Milan - a city of stark contrasts - the game invites players to embody seven distinct characters through forty-nine interactive "Moments." Each vignette offers a window into ordinary lives, revealing daily hesitations, routines, and snap decisions.

The gameplay alternates between meditative sequences that let players linger with characters' thoughts and urgent scenarios demanding real-time reactions. Unlike traditional narrative games, "In Their Shoes" embraces life's inherent messiness, challenging players to uncover twenty-six biographical details scattered throughout each character's story.

While the Google Play listing remains unavailable, curious players can wishlist the game on Steam.

The Milan-based studio has specialized in artful storytelling since 2013, crafting experimental projects like the visual novels "CAVE! CAVE! DEUS VIDET." and "Venti Mesi," collaborative installations "Siheyuan," and narrative escape rooms "Ludmilla" and "Ventiquattro Elle."
