Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved phenomenal success, surpassing eight million units sold in just three days—a record-breaking feat that makes it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. This impressive launch significantly outperforms previous entries in the series; Monster Hunter World (2018) shipped five million copies, while Monster Hunter Rise (2021) reached four million.

Capcom's announcement highlights Monster Hunter Wilds' exceptionally strong start. This success is further underscored by its remarkable performance on Steam, where it soared past one million concurrent players during its opening weekend, even surpassing Cyberpunk 2077 to become the 7th most-played game ever on the platform. This surge also contributed to Steam exceeding 40 million concurrent players for the first time.
