Monster Hunter Wilds Beta 2 Release Date Unveiled
Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced
Capcom has announced the dates for a second open beta test for its highly anticipated title, Monster Hunter: Wilds, scheduled for two weekends in February 2025. This follows the successful first beta in late 2024, offering players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28, 2025. Monster Hunter: Wilds is poised to be a landmark entry in the franchise, promising a vast open world and diverse gameplay.
The second open beta, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, will run during the following periods:
- February 6, 2025, 7:00 pm PT – February 9, 2025, 6:59 pm PT
- February 13, 2025, 7:00 pm PT – February 16, 2025, 6:59 pm PT
Returning and New Beta Content
This beta will include all content from the first test, allowing players to revisit character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A new challenge awaits with the addition of a Gypceros hunt, a fan-favorite monster returning to the series. Furthermore, players can import their characters created during the initial beta, eliminating the need to recreate them.
Addressing Player Feedback
While the first beta was generally well-received, Capcom acknowledged player feedback regarding visual aspects (textures and lighting) and weapon gameplay polish. The developer assures players they are actively working to improve the game's quality before launch, incorporating player suggestions.
The second open beta represents a crucial step for Capcom, providing valuable time for refinement and generating further excitement for Monster Hunter: Wilds. Whether a returning player or a newcomer, February 2025 promises an exhilarating hunting experience.
