Monster Hunter Rise: Mastering Voice Chat

Want to use or mute voice chat in Monster Hunter Rise? Multiplayer doesn't necessitate constant verbal interaction. If you prefer in-game voice chat (without using Discord or similar services), here's how to manage it.

All voice chat settings reside within the game's audio menu. Access the options menu (either in-game or from the main screen), navigate to the third tab from the right, and scroll down slightly to find the Voice Chat settings. Three options are available: Enable (always on), Disable (always off), and Push-to-Talk (activates voice chat only when a designated key is pressed; keyboard only).

Further options control voice chat volume and auto-toggle functionality. Auto-toggle prioritizes voice chat with either quest members (those currently participating in the same hunt—the most common choice), link party members (useful for collaborative story progression or assistance), or disables automatic switching entirely.

That covers in-game voice chat in Monster Hunter Rise. While the audio quality may not rival dedicated communication apps, the built-in option provides convenience, especially for cross-platform play.
