High on Life 2 Delayed to Feb 2026
Squanch Games has confirmed that High on Life 2, the highly anticipated comedic first-person shooter sequel, will launch on February 13, 2026.
An Xbox Wire post revealed updated details about the sci-fi follow-up, including new gameplay features and cast announcements. While initially slated for late 2025, the title is now scheduled for early 2026, arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with day-one Game Pass availability.
The slight delay coincides with casting news: Ralph Ineson (Final Fantasy XVI, The Fantastic Four: First Steps) joins as Sheath, an entirely new boss character. Returning voice talent includes Betsy Sodaro as Sweezy and J.B. Smoove as Gus, alongside Richard Kind (Inside Out, A Bug's Life) voicing Senator Muppy Doo.
First unveiled at the June 2025 Xbox Games Showcase, this sequel builds upon Squanch Games' breakout 2022 title. The original game gained widespread acclaim for its humorous talking weapons, becoming one of Game Pass' most successful launches. Its popularity even inspired a forthcoming TV adaptation announced in 2024.
Notably, former Squanch CEO Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty co-creator) departed the studio in January 2023 following legal allegations, though charges were later dismissed that March.
High on Life 2 arrives on all major platforms in early 2026. Fans can revisit the original game via Xbox Game Pass after its recent service return, or explore our reviews: the base game earned 8/10, while the High on Knife DLC received 6/10.
