Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

The White Wolf is making his final stand as production for the fifth and concluding season of *The Witcher* is now underway. New set photos, which have surfaced online, offer fans an exciting glimpse of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt de Rivia. These images, seemingly leaked and shared by the renowned Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth in full Geralt regalia, complete with the character's distinctive long blonde hair. Alongside him are familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang reprising her role as Milva and Joey Batey returning as Jaskier, both of whom have been integral to the series since Henry Cavill's tenure as the lead.

Hemsworth's casting as Geralt was announced back in October 2022, with the actor taking over from Cavill starting with Season 4 and continuing into the final season. The anticipation around Hemsworth's portrayal is palpable, especially with the release of these new set photos.

In addition to the returning cast, the set images also introduce new characters set to make their debut in Season 4 and carry through to the final season. Among them is the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, who will portray Emiel Reigs, adding a thrilling new dynamic to the series.

These leaked set photos hint at a potential storyline inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s *Tower of the Swallow*, where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 still pending release, the narrative could take numerous turns, leaving fans eager to see how the puzzle pieces fit together.

It's worth noting that Henry Cavill isn't the only cast member to depart; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. As of now, Netflix has not announced Bodnia's replacement, nor has an official release date for Season 4 been disclosed.
