LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth
LEGO has unveiled nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of May the 4th (Star Wars Day). This annual event is a tradition for LEGO, typically marked by the release of an Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were treated to the Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, the spotlight shines on Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, known to many as Slave I (view it on the LEGO Store). The name change to Firespray Starship was implemented in 2021 at Disney's request (confirmed by LEGO), reflecting a move away from the term 'slave' in branding. This shift appears to be permanent as we approach the new release.

The last significant version of this LEGO starship was released in 2019 to celebrate its 20th anniversary, featuring 1007 pieces and modeled after the ship from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new iteration, with a whopping 2970 pieces, is inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. This latest model boasts nearly three times the piece count of its predecessor, measuring an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
