The much-anticipated PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, bringing with it a host of PC-specific features. This exciting news comes from a trailer that was accidentally leaked by Sony itself before being swiftly removed from the PlayStation YouTube channel. However, the internet, as always, was quick to capture and share the trailer, which is expected to be officially released soon.

Alongside the PC version, Sony Interactive Entertainment also unveiled the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC released to date for both PS5 and PC. This announcement arrives more than a year after Stellar Blade's successful launch on PS5 in April 2024.

The PC version of Stellar Blade comes packed with all the features that PC gamers crave, including AI upscaling via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide display support, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for enhanced haptic feedback and trigger effects.

The trailer also teased a new boss battle against Mann, the Leader of the Sentinels, and introduced 25 new costumes, which are expected to be available on PS5 as well. Additionally, eagle-eyed fans spotted a new scene at the end of the trailer where Eve releases a memory stick, a sequence not present in the original game. This has sparked speculation about a potential new ending or additional DLC for Stellar Blade.

Stellar Blade Complete Edition

Developed by Korean studio Shift Up, Stellar Blade was a significant success, generating $43 million in royalties in its last financial year. The studio anticipates that the PC version will surpass the sales of the PS5 version, which sold over 1 million copies within two months of its release. Shift Up has also expressed interest in expanding the franchise with a new game.

In Stellar Blade, players assume the role of Eve, fighting to reclaim Earth from mysterious invaders in a fast-paced action role-playing game. The game received a 7/10 in IGN's review, praised for its action mechanics but critiqued for its characters, story, and some RPG elements. Despite these criticisms, Stellar Blade quickly became a commercial hit, selling a million copies shortly after its release.

"Stellar Blade is great in all of the most important ways for an action game, but dull characters, a lackluster story, and several frustrating elements of its RPG mechanics prevent it from soaring along with the best of the genre," the review concluded.
