"Lazarus: Cowboy Bebop Creator's New Anime Premieres Tonight"
Lazarus brings together an impressive lineup of talent from both anime and broader entertainment. Directed by the renowned Shinichirō Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame, this original sci-fi series is not a revival, as noted by critic Ryan Guar in his review of the first five episodes. The animation is a collaboration between Mappa Studio, known for hits like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, and Sola Entertainment, the team behind Tower of God. Adding to the excitement, the action sequences are choreographed by Chad Stahelski, the director of the John Wick franchise.
Given the buzz and intrigue surrounding Lazarus, it's no surprise that Adult Swim has secured the rights to air the anime simultaneously in the U.S. and Japan. For fans eager to watch new episodes online, here’s how you can catch the action.
Where to Stream Lazarus
Lazarus
Set in the year 2052, a miracle drug turns lethal, threatening humanity's extinction. A team of outlaws, known as LAZARUS, has just 30 days to save the world.

What Is Lazarus About?
Lazarus stands out in the anime world as an entirely original creation, not based on any manga. Here's the official plot synopsis from the Lazarus website:
The year is 2052 - an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity prevails across the globe. The reason for this: mankind has been freed from sickness and pain. Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner has developed a miracle cure-all drug with no apparent drawbacks called Hapuna.
Three years later, the world has moved on. But Dr. Skinner has returned - this time, as a harbinger of doom. Skinner announces that Hapuna has a short half-life. Everyone who has taken it will die approximately three years later. Death is coming for this sinful world - and coming soon.
As a response to this threat, a special task force of 5 agents is gathered from across the world to save humanity from Skinner's plan. This group is called "Lazarus." Can they find Skinner and develop a vaccine before time runs out?
