Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive
Activists are targeting Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after news of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia surfaced online, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
The developers have faced online attacks and calls for boycotts. Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded by urging the public to trust the developers and to critically evaluate online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes will be distributed in the coming days, following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content. Interestingly, initial "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated a week after code distribution.
