How to Romance a Character in Fields of Mistria

While you can befriend almost anyone in *Fields of Mistria*, romance is exclusive to a select group of NPCs. As of the v0.13.0 update, you have the option to pursue romance with 11 different characters, including the enigmatic Caldarus.

Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that fills based on your interactions with them. To foster a romantic relationship, you need to engage with them regularly and cater to their preferences.

Start by **talking to them daily**, which can be seamlessly integrated into your routine around town. Daily chats can significantly boost your bond. Additionally, make it a point to complete any tasks they post on the town board, as fulfilling these requests will enhance their heart gauge.

You can also **gift them an item they enjoy once per day**. These items are unique to each character and can be gathered or crafted. On their birthday, gift them an item they absolutely love for an extra boost to their heart meter. Consistent efforts in these areas will quickly elevate their affection towards you.

Currently, NPC heart gauges max out at **six hearts**. After reaching this level, a cutscene with your chosen NPC will hint at budding romance, though it won't be fully realized yet.

According to the game’s roadmap, future updates will introduce 8 and 10-heart events, paving the way for marriage and family options. Rest assured, your romantic journey in Mistria is just beginning.

Juniper, a romanceable character in *Fields of Mistria*, is often seen scouring the land for mystical ingredients but can be found at her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town. To romance her, focus on regular visits, completing her town board requests, and presenting her with thoughtful gifts.

Juniper has a variety of items she "likes" and "loves". Make sure to give her an item she "loves" on her birthday, which falls on the **26th day of Fall**, to maximize the heart meter boost.

Avoid giving Juniper items she dislikes, which include all universal dislikes and **Sod**.
