InZOI Drops Explicit Sex Scenes

The developers of the upcoming life simulation game, inZOI, recently addressed fan questions regarding intimate interactions. When asked about the inclusion of sexual content, the assistant director provided an ambiguous response, leaving players uncertain about the game's depiction of such activities.

Essentially, the implication is that romantic encounters between male and female ZOIs leading to procreation will occur, but the visual representation will be left largely to the player's interpretation. The developers hinted that the level of explicitness will be less than some might anticipate.

Currently, it remains unclear whether inZOI will employ censorship similar to The Sims series or utilize a novel approach.

The developers also explained the decision to depict ZOIs showering in towels instead of using pixelated censorship. They stated that this approach is more aesthetically suitable for the game's cartoonish art style, as pixelation in a realistic style can appear overly sexualized. Furthermore, a technical issue with pixelated censorship—where the blurring wouldn't appear in reflections—influenced the decision.

Ultimately, the game's rating provides the clearest indication of its content. inZOI has received an ESRB rating of T (Teen) and is expected to receive a PEGI 12 rating, aligning with the ratings given to The Sims 4.
