New Images and Details Revealed for The Lion King Ride at Disneyland Paris, Construction Begins Soon

Exciting developments are on the horizon for Disneyland Paris with the introduction of a brand-new The Lion King-themed ride, set to begin construction in Fall 2025. As reported by Disney Parks Blog, this innovative attraction will be a centerpiece of the newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World. This immersive water ride will transport guests through iconic scenes from the beloved 1994 film, complete with a thrilling 52-foot drop that's just two inches taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

The Lion King land will not only feature this exciting ride but also a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock, along with a variety of dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more. A newly released concept image showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting, giving fans a glimpse into the detailed world awaiting them.

The Lion King ride is slated to open after the much-anticipated World of Frozen in 2026. It will be a key component of Disney Adventure World, which is set to expand to double the size of the current park. Alongside World of Frozen, guests can look forward to the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever Up-themed attraction, a spinning carousel offering panoramic views of the park's stunning scenery.

Adding to the excitement, the new park entrance, World Premiere, is set to open on May 15, 2025. Designed to mimic a glamorous Hollywood premiere, World Premiere Plaza will be inspired by Broadway and the West End, hosting theaters with spectacular shows like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
