The Iconic 'Time Machine' from Back to the Future Is Now Up for Grabs in CSR2

Zynga's Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future with a time-traveling crossover event.

CSR2: A Back to the Future Experience

Players can now acquire and race the iconic DeLorean time machine from the original film. While it lacks performance enhancements or special abilities, it's a fully functional, drivable vehicle within the game. Beyond the car itself, CSR2 offers a complete Back to the Future themed experience.

This includes a film-inspired in-game interface, a new storyline, and multiple events. Three flash events focused on the DeLorean are planned, alongside a community competition. Zynga has confirmed additional themed events throughout the year, extending beyond a single update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting social media quizzes with prizes. Find them on their official channels.

No Time Travel, But a Unique Collaboration

While the game doesn't offer time travel to 1955 (or 1999), the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is undeniably unique. The opportunity to virtually drive the DeLorean is a significant draw.

Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, emphasized the DeLorean's iconic status and the excitement of allowing players to race it in celebration of the film's anniversary.
