Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Announces Open Arena Mode Testing

Unfrozen Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, showcasing its core mechanics, diverse units, and overall strategic gameplay. The trailer accompanies the announcement of closed beta registration for the game's "Arena" mode. Players can request access via the Steam page, with testing running from March 17th to March 28th.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for Steam Early Access in Q2 2025. At launch, players can expect six factions, three single-player modes, and three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is publishing this highly anticipated title.

The recently revealed Dungeon faction introduces a compelling roster of units: troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These unique units add significant strategic depth to the battlefield.

Unfrozen Games acknowledged challenges in developing the Arena mode, specifically balancing hero and skill capabilities within the constraints of limited space and the absence of starting advantages. These challenges have been successfully overcome, promising a balanced and engaging Arena experience.

While a precise release date is still pending, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is targeting a PC release later this year. The developers are striving to create a game accessible and enjoyable for both seasoned series veterans and newcomers.
