The Gothic 1 Remake demo has been released on Steam
To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a captivating new trailer.
Unlike the original Gothic, where players embodied the Nameless Hero, the remake lets you step into the boots of Nyras, a prisoner fighting for survival in the unforgiving world of Khorinis. The core objective remains the same: survive.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the demo has already shattered concurrent player records for the entire Gothic series:

This "Nyras Prologue" showcases the impressive visual upgrade, featuring enhanced graphics, refined animations, and a revamped combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the demo offers a glimpse into the game's potential, it naturally doesn't fully capture the expansive freedom and deep RPG mechanics awaiting players in the complete Gothic Remake.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG). A firm release date is yet to be announced.
