God of War Ragnarok Celebrates Franchise's 20-Year Anniversary With Dark Odyssey Cosmetic Update Next Week
Sony and Santa Monica Studio have unveiled the Dark Odyssey collection, a free update for God of War Ragnarök arriving next week. This update features in-game equipment themed after one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, a stylish black-and-gold aesthetic. The update, detailed in a PlayStation Blog post, is a key part of the God of War 20th-anniversary celebrations.
Available for both PlayStation 5 and PC players, Dark Odyssey offers cosmetic enhancements for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, along with various weapons and shields. The highlight is a Kratos appearance and armor set reminiscent of a God Mode reward from God of War II. Players can acquire this content from any Lost Items chest in the main game or directly in Ragnarök's Valhalla mode.
A significant addition is the ability to customize Kratos' weapon appearances without affecting their abilities. This long-awaited feature enhances player personalization.
