God of War Ragnarok 20th Anniversary Update: Patch 06.02 Details Dark Odyssey Collection

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the God of War franchise with the latest update for God of War Ragnarök, version 06.02, which introduces the exciting Dark Odyssey Collection. Santa Monica Studio has unveiled comprehensive patch notes that detail all the new content and features included in this celebratory update, available at no additional cost to all players.

The Dark Odyssey Collection brings back the iconic black and gold theme inspired by the original God of War (2005) and the God of War II God Mode reward. This collection includes new cosmetic options for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, along with updated appearances for all of God of War's legendary weaponry. Players can now deck out Kratos with the Dark Odyssey Armor Set, featuring the Dark Odyssey Breastplate, Bracers, and Belt, as well as unique vestments for Atreus and Freya.

The update also enhances the customization experience with the new "Edit Appearance" feature. This allows players to mix and match their favorite looks across different armor sets without compromising the unique abilities and skills of each piece. Whether you're embarking on your first journey or revisiting the epic battles against Thor and Odin, this feature adds a fresh layer of personalization to your gameplay on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or PC.

While the Dark Odyssey Collection brings a smile to many fans' faces, some had hoped for more, such as modern remasters of the original trilogy. Although no such plans have been announced yet, Sony continues to engage the God of War community with new merchandise, vinyl releases, and other exciting bonuses to keep the spirit of the franchise alive and thriving.
