G.I. Joe Goes Heavy Metal in Hasbro's Incredible Cold Slither Box Set

IGN has an exclusive first look at Hasbro's latest G.I. Joe Classified Series addition: a spectacular box set featuring Cobra villain Zartan and his Dreadnoks as the heavy metal band, Cold Slither.

The Cold Slither set includes 6-inch figures of Zartan, Ripper, Buzzer, and Torch, fully decked out for their Band of Vipers World Tour concert. The set boasts an impressive 29 accessories, including a guitar, bass, keytar, drum set, and more. Even the packaging is designed to resemble the Springfield Theater.

This box set will be available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con (July 24-27, 2025). Limited quantities will be released on the Hasbro Pulse website after the convention.

For fans of classic G.I. Joe figures, Hasbro and Super7 are collaborating on a Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure. This 3.75-inch figure, reminiscent of the original A Real American Hero toys, features O-ring construction, vintage packaging, and glows in the dark under UV light. It includes a microphone and guitar.

The Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure is priced at $20 and will be available for preorder on the Super7 website starting April 3rd at 9:15 am PT.

Hasbro is taking the musical theme even further with an actual Cold Slither album, a collaboration with Reigning Phoenix Music. The album description reads:

In 2025, Cold Slither, the iconic heavy metal band from G.I. Joe lore, release their highly anticipated debut album. Headlined by the self-titled anthem “Cold Slither,” the album delivers 10 electrifying tracks blending searing guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and catchy choruses.
