Freedom Wars Remastered: Enhanced Gameplay and New Features Unveiled

A new trailer for Freedom Wars Remastered showcases the game's revamped gameplay and numerous additions. This action RPG, initially a PlayStation Vita exclusive, now arrives on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC on January 10th.

The game, set in a resource-depleted dystopian world, casts players as Sinners, sentenced to complete missions for their Panopticon (city-state). Missions involve battling massive mechanical creatures called Abductors, harvesting their parts for upgrades, and completing objectives ranging from rescue operations to capturing control systems. Players can tackle these missions solo or with online co-op partners. The core gameplay loop, reminiscent of the Monster Hunter series, centers around combat, resource gathering, and equipment enhancement.

The trailer highlights significant improvements in Freedom Wars Remastered:

• Enhanced Visuals: Experience a significant graphical leap, with PS5 and PC versions boasting 4K (2160p) resolution at 60 FPS. PS4 offers 1080p at 60 FPS, while the Switch version runs at 1080p but at 30 FPS.

• Faster-Paced Gameplay: Improved mechanics, increased movement speed, and the ability to cancel weapon attacks contribute to a more dynamic and engaging combat experience.

• Revamped Crafting: The crafting and upgrade systems feature more intuitive interfaces and allow for the attachment and detachment of modules on demand. A new module synthesis feature lets players enhance modules using resources obtained from rescued citizens.
