Forza Horizon 5 Is Coming to PS5

Forza Horizon 5, Xbox's acclaimed racing title, is making its way to PlayStation!

Playground Games surprised fans with the announcement that Forza Horizon 5 will be released on PS5 this spring. This follows other Xbox exclusives, such as Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, in making the jump to PlayStation.

Developed by Panic Button in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, the PS5 version will boast the same comprehensive content as its Xbox and PC counterparts. This includes all car packs and expansions, such as Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure.

This strategic move reflects Xbox's expanding interest in multi-platform releases, encompassing PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Xbox head Phil Spencer has publicly confirmed support for the upcoming Switch 2.

Recent financial reports from Microsoft indicate a decline in overall gaming revenue, particularly a near 30% drop in console sales, despite positive growth in areas like Game Pass (a 30% increase in PC subscribers and a 2% rise in services revenue) and the success of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (4 million players). This financial context may be influencing Xbox's increased focus on Game Pass and broadening its game availability across different hardware platforms.
