The Final Fantasy series is currently experiencing a renaissance, with ongoing developments in the remake of its iconic seventh installment. Amidst this, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is gearing up to celebrate its 1.5-year anniversary in grand fashion. Starting March 6th, players can look forward to a host of new content, including fresh gear, challenges, and skills. The latest trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into what's in store for fans.

The trailer reveals an array of exciting additions, including a free set of gear as a campaign gift and a five-star Umbral Blade exclusive to Cloud. Additionally, the new event, Odin: Vanquisher of Souls, will commence on March 6th, bringing with it a new set of challenges.

As part of the 1.5th anniversary celebration, stylish new gear will be introduced for all your favorite characters. The first reveal is Sephiroth, who can be seen in the trailer sporting the striking Cape of the Worthy, part of the Vestments of the Worthy series. This series will be unveiled over four weeks leading up to the anniversary event.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis 1.5th Anniversary TrailerTo aid players in the upcoming anniversary challenges, a new battle ability called Overspeed will be introduced. This will be particularly useful for the Odin-themed escalation challenge. Final Fantasy's mobile presence continues to grow, showcasing Square Enix's dedication to expanding the series on this platform.

It's somewhat ironic that despite numerous new entries in the series, Square Enix consistently returns to the seventh installment. Given its status as a fan favorite, however, this choice is understandable and appreciated by the community.
