Embark on an Epic Adventure in "Wuthering Waves: The Last Knight Quest"

This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. It's a relatively short quest with rewarding outcomes.

The Last Knight adds depth to the Rinascita area, offering a different perspective than the main storyline. While not as expansive, it provides a unique experience and valuable rewards. This walkthrough simplifies the process.

Starting the Quest

This quest unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's highly recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves a performance honoring a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a particularly difficult opponent.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Interacting with the flower transports you to a challenge where you must identify the real chest among mimics.

The first three chests are genuine. In the next set, only one is real (the second chest in the middle-left). Opening it yields Astrites and other rewards, but be prepared to fight the remaining mimic chests.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Follow the quest markers, interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, a peculiar scent leads you uphill to a unique Chop Chop enemy with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is recommended for parrying and stunning it. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "legendary knight" was a fabrication, prompting Carlow to flee.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a plaza. He's confronted by knights. His reaction and subsequent challenge conclude the quest. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and other resources.
