Author : Carter Update : Jan 07,2026

Elden Ring Film director Alex Garland is reportedly considering reuniting with his Warfare star Kit Connor for A24 and Bandai Namco's adaptation of the award-winning 2022 RPG.

The potential collaboration was first reported by Deadline, noting Garland's interest in casting Connor for an undisclosed role. Variety confirmed the discussions while clarifying no official offer has been extended yet.

Connor recently collaborated with Garland on last month's gripping war drama Warfare, which chronicles a team of U.S. Navy SEALs caught in hostile fire during an Iraq mission.

The rising star's notable projects include Heartstopper, His Dark Materials, and Rocketman, along with voice work for several video games including A Plague Tale: Requiem and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Connor's potential role in adapting Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin's dark fantasy world remains undisclosed, as plot details for the film adaptation have not been revealed.

Garland's involvement in the project was officially confirmed last week, with the acclaimed director of Ex Machina and Civil War also penning the screenplay.

Martin returns to the Lands Between as a producer alongside DNA's Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich.
