EA Play is Losing at Least 2 Games in February 2025

Summary

Two EA Play games are departing in February 2025: Madden NFL 23 on February 15th and F1 22 on February 28th. Additionally, UFC 3's online services will cease on February 17th.

EA Play subscribers should take note of these removals from EA's subscription service, which offers game trials, full games, and other perks. Available as a standalone subscription or bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, EA Play boasts a diverse library of games, both new and old. However, periodic game removals are a reality of subscription services.

February 2025 will see the removal of at least two titles from the EA Play lineup. Madden NFL 23 exits on February 15th, followed by F1 22 on February 28th. Importantly, this removal doesn't immediately shut down online multiplayer for these games; however, online functionality will eventually be discontinued. EA Play subscribers should enjoy these titles while they remain accessible.

List of Games Leaving EA Play Soon

  • Madden NFL 23 - February 15th
  • F1 22 - February 28th

Beyond the departures of Madden NFL 23 and F1 22, February 2025 brings further news for EA fans: UFC 3's online features will shut down on February 17th. The game's availability via EA Play after this date remains unclear, but its core functionality will be significantly impacted. Subscribers may wish to prioritize playing UFC 3 before this date.

While the removal of these EA games from EA Play and the online shutdown of UFC 3 are undoubtedly disappointing, newer installments in these franchises remain available. Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4 will persist on the service after February, with UFC 5 joining the lineup on January 14th. Although game removals are a common occurrence with subscription services, the availability of newer titles should partially mitigate this disappointment.
