Dunhuang Culture Comes Alive in Tears of Themis' Ballad of the Dunes Event

Tears of Themis has unveiled an exciting collaboration event, the Ballad of the Dunes, in partnership with the Culture & Tourism in Gansu Province, China. This event, steeped in the rich history and cultural heritage of the Silk Road and Dunhuang, introduces new limited MR cards and an exclusive Namecard, inviting players to immerse themselves in a narrative woven through ancient landscapes.

Running from February 13th to 20th, the Ballad of the Dunes event offers players the chance to earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other rewards by engaging in various in-game tasks. Camel Bells serve as a currency to flip cells, unlocking a range of prizes, including the coveted Ballad of the Dunes MR cards.

Participants can progress through four rounds, selecting one of the new MR cards as their ultimate reward at the end of each round. Upon flipping 100 cells, players will unlock the special Celebration Dunes Namecard. These new MR cards celebrate the four male leads, designed with inspiration from Dunhuang's artistic heritage.

Luke’s card, "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem’s "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn’s "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius’ "Void of Creation" are adorned with motifs drawn from Silk Road history, such as flying apsaras and the iconic back-played pipa from Dunhuang murals. The storytelling continues through Private Messages, featuring cultural exchanges that deepen the narrative.
